Hoon Maritime Institute is committed to bring the required change in the Maritime Training sector by providing modern education tools inculcated with onboard ship experience. For all those who undertake education and training at the institute, HMI endeavours to provide support and educational consultancy for life. The Institute will constantly endeavour to expand its area of influence by introducing additional educational programs in diverse and related areas.

In pursuance of its mission, HMI is committed to work towards:-

• To create a healthy environment where students and teachers freely discuss the topics and where each person has a opportunity to express, present and clarify their thoughts/knowledge in harmony and without any prejudice to ensure world standard maritime education.
• To provide a Transparent System, thus having a healthy and a friendly relation with all stakeholders – Students, Parents, seafarers, Maritime Industry, Accrediting/approving Govt. and society.
• To improvise its teaching techniques and material to adapt with the constant changes /improvements in requirements of the International and National maritime Organisation(s) / Industry.
• To update our faculty with the latest from the maritime industry by constantly conducting and attending seminars/conferences, to provide a chance to all faculty to attend courses /higher education, to improve their teaching knowledge and skills
• To develop a Safety Culture amongst our Students, to prevent any loss or damage to seafarers and the maritime business/stakeholders.
• To inculcate the Students with an Environment friendly culture as per Marpol, to keep our seas pollution free and clean.
